"Red Nation by Game. Ni wimbo unaohusu umwagaji wa damu. Tulikua the Red Team na tulikua tunaenda kumwaga damu."  Alisema jamaa huyo aliyemuua Osama bin Laden.

Sasa basi Esquire.com walimpigia simu Rapper The Game ili kujua anafikiria nini kuhusu jambo hilo. Mahojiano yao yalikua hivi:

ESQ: So how does it feel to hear that your song was what the guy who killed bin Laden listened to as he got pumped up?

GAME: I think that's the shit, man. What's crazy about that is that bin Laden might have heard "Red Nation" right before he died. That's pretty cool. 'Cause if you're thinking about the speakers, sometimes it bleeds out, you know?

ESQ: [Laughs.] I don't think he was actually listening while he was on the mission, because they've got to listen to each other. But when he was in training, he did.

GAME: Oh. Maybe while he was on the way to kill bin Laden maybe he was doing an a cappella.

ESQ: So you were, in a small way, a part of the mission that killed Osama bin Laden.

GAME: I feel real patriotic. I feel real American. I feel like I had — 'cause what if he was listening to, like, John Mayer? Than he probably would've missed the shot or something. But I feel like "Red Nation" had him on-point.

ESQ: Even in your wildest dreams, did you feel like one of your songs could be involved in such a big part of American history?

GAME: I would've never imagined that they would be getting pumped up and ready to go on a mission, a field mission to kill bin Laden. I know dudes that do it in the locker room — football players, basketball players. You never just think that that secret, silent bin Laden team is pumping your music. But they've got to be pumping somebody. So I just appreciate that it's me, man. That's fking crazy.

ESQ: So have you been following the story of these guys at all?

GAME: I've seen Zero Dark Thirty, man. I thought it was a great fucking movie. It had me on-edge. I'm sure it was more intense in real life. I was real sad when the lady got killed.

ESQ: The song actually makes sense because you've got that line in there about killing Satan and putting a red flag in the ground.

GAME: It's perfect. Bin Laden was someone like Satan. And the American flag going into the ground. So yeah — maybe I pre-visualized that whole scenario. [Laughs.]

ESQ: And you've got that classic arena pump-up sample in it.

GAME: [Sings] "Oh oh oh oh-oh oh" — yeah it's crazy.

ESQ: So what is the red nation that you're actually talking about in the song?

GAME: For my whole life, I grew up into gang-bang culture, where you either pick blue or red. And I picked red. I started there.

And as I got older and got a little bit away from gang life, my favorite basketball team growing up — well, of course, were the Lakers and the Clippers because I'm from L.A., but the Bulls were really my favorite team. And then football, it was the 49ers.

It's always the red team, man. And so it's just the Red Nation, man. We bleed red. We all bleed red. That's it.

ESQ: And this guy's particular squadron within Seal Team Six was called the Red Squadron.

GAME: Now it's making too much sense, man. It's just getting scary. Once I get off the phone, I'm going to envision myself in one of the super-secret helicopters. I'm just going to put myself in that scenario, and I'm going to see if I can make that shot.

ESQ: You think you could make it?

GAME: You know, I've been going to the shooting range since I was, like, probably 16 or 17 years old. I think that under pressure, I'm pretty good, man.

I think I probably couldn't make that shot, but I think I could definitely come up after somebody killed him and shoot him in the chest a couple times. I could definitely hit him if he's already down.

ESQ: A couple other guys might have.

GAME: Everybody wanted a shot, right? I could definitely hit bin Laden. I would've did a dome shot. Fuck it. If you're going to do it, go all the way out.

ESQ: So what's more badass: Navy Seal Team Six Red Squadron or Red Nation?

GAME: You know what, they're more badass, man.
